Why use PDF Karigar to split PDFs?

Break a long PDF into smaller documents — by custom page ranges, into equal parts, or into one file for every page.

  • Private by design. Files are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared.
  • Free, with no catch. No sign-up, no watermarks and no daily limits.
  • Works everywhere. Runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.

When to split, and how to choose pages

Splitting helps when a portal limits file size or page count, when only part of a document should go to someone, or when a scanner saved a whole stack of papers as one file.

  • Custom ranges create one file for each range you enter, which is handy for separating statements by month or chapters of a report.
  • Equal parts divides a long document into chunks of the same length.
  • One file per page is quickest when every page is its own document, like a batch of scanned receipts.

Want certain pages in a single new file instead of many files? Use Extract pages. To drop pages for good, use Remove pages.

Split PDF: frequently asked questions

Can I split a PDF into single pages?

Yes. Choose the “every page” option and each page becomes its own PDF, delivered together in one ZIP file.

How do I write page ranges?

Use commas and hyphens, for example “1-3, 5, 8-10”. Each range becomes a separate PDF file.

Does splitting change the content?

No. Pages are copied without re-encoding, so text, links and image quality stay exactly the same.
