Turning photos into a document people can use
Photos of certificates, ID cards, receipts or handwritten notes are much easier to send, print and file as one PDF. Each image becomes a page, in the order you arrange them.
- Choose A4 if the PDF will be printed or uploaded to an official form. “Fit to image” keeps each photo’s own shape.
- Photograph documents flat, in daylight, with the page filling the frame. Shadows and tilted angles are the most common reasons a scan gets rejected.
- For both sides of a card, place the front and back one after the other so they land on consecutive pages.
- Phone photos are large. If the portal has a limit, run the PDF through Compress PDF and tap the size it asks for.
Taking the photos right now? Scan to PDF uses your camera directly and cleans pages up to look like real scans.
