Why use PDF Karigar to sign PDFs?

Add your signature to contracts, forms and letters in seconds. Draw it with your finger or mouse, type it in a handwriting font, or upload a photo of it.

  • Private by design. Files are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared.
  • Free, with no catch. No sign-up, no watermarks and no daily limits.
  • Works everywhere. Runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.

Signing documents properly

A drawn or typed signature on a PDF is accepted for many everyday documents, such as offer letters, rental forms, delivery notes and internal approvals. Some official processes need a certified digital signature or a wet-ink signature instead, so check what the receiver asks for.

  • On a phone, draw slowly with a finger or stylus. It usually looks more natural than a signature drawn with a mouse.
  • For a crisp copy of your paper signature, sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, photograph it in good light and upload the photo.
  • Add the date next to your signature, and initial each page if the document asks for it.
  • Sign last: make text changes first in Edit PDF, then sign, then compress if the file is too big.
